Dr. Fina graduated with Honors in 2002 from Baylor University with a B.S. in Biology. She then went on to medical school at Nova Southeastern where she received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. With a passion to take care of military families she enlisted in the US Army and completed her Pediatric residency at Winn Army Community Hospital. Dr. Fina then received her board-certification in Pediatrics.
After serving 7 years of active duty in the Army, she moved back to her home town in Nassau County, Florida, and began to practice medicine in Saint Marys, GA at the Southeastern Georgia Health System Hospital. While always preferring to take a more holistic approach to treating her patients, it was at this time that she formally became a Diplomat to the American Board of Integrative(Holistic) Medicine with full board-certification coming shortly after.
While serving patients in Saint Marys, Ga, Dr. Fina became the Chief of Pediatrics at the SGHS Camden Hospital. She then received one of her most loved awards, being voted “Best Pediatrician in Camden County” in 2017.
In 2018 Dr. Fina realized that in order to practice medicine with her full skillset, and to treat patients the way she feels they deserve, she started her own practice “Flip Flops and Lollipops Pediatrics” in Fernandina Beach, FL.
